It is truly amazing that I am already doing a wrap up for 2009. This year has been simply so busy, it feels like it has whirled by in a matter of weeks, not months. In all this hustle and bustle I want to let each of my team members know how thankful I am for their hard work. I would not be able to make these achievements without your support.
One special girl has grown from an assistant to an amazing friend and wonderfully talented photographer; Brandy Bond. You have probably seen her at events or shoots throughout the last year. She has come so far in these recent months and I am very proud to be able to work with her. It seems there will be another addition to the Bond family and I’d like to offer my congratulations. Expect to see many, many, many pictures of the new little Bond girl in March. Given how adorable Connor is, I can only imagine how irresistible his little sister will be.
My team also includes my friends and clients. It never fails – when a new client comes along, it isn’t long before we quickly become friends. How many professionals can make the same claim? I feel extremely fortunate to live what I love. My job is surrounding myself with friends and the joy of photography. There are times when I have to pinch myself to remind me that this is all real.
I’m brimming with excitement over an upcoming trip to Philly. I have waited over a year to shoot Julie and Tyler’s wedding. Tyler popped the question and I started counting the days until the big event. I simply cannot wait for the big day.
Christmas Eve will be a little more than just a traditional holiday celebration. This year, my little Preston turns 5. I can’t believe that he will be starting kindergarten next year. Just when you think that you have a handle on the fast pace live throws your way, you look over and wonder when your child got so big so fast. Preston’s birthday also marks the anniversary of my own Christmas Miracle. While I was in labor with Preston, my life was severely at risk. My husband and doctors feared the worst. I truly believe an angel was with us that day. He held our hands and spared my life. For those of you that know my story, you understand how this day brings tears to my eyes – tears of joy and blessing.
